Quilting Class: Around the World In A Day!
June 20 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Create a machine-sewn baby or lap quilt in a single day using speed cutting and sewing techniques. This traditional pattern is known as Trip Around the World, or the Amish Sunshine and Shadow design when done in solid colors. A follow up session to share projects and discuss various finishing options: tying, hand quilting, machine quilting and binding will provide time to wrap up this quilt.
No previous quilting experience is necessary but this class requires a sewing machine and a basic working knowledge of how to use it.
Students should come to class with the following supplies, available at any sewing store, including Peggy’s Sewing Center in Centreville, JoAnn’s Fabric, or other similar retailers, and online. The instructor is happy to discuss questions or concerns about needed supplies after registering for the class:
Additional materials fee of $5 for printed pattern booklet payable to instructor in class.
