Clay Studio Private Classes

RiverArts Clay Studio now offers a flexible custom pottery class for those who wish to learn a basic technique with the help of our talented pottery instructors. We are happy to accommodate your small group of friends, family, or even provide a fun activity for a party of 1-5 people in a 2-3 hour workshop at a flat rate of $250. If you are interested in having a group of 6-10 people, the rate would be $500. 
This could be a fun children’s workshop, with parent supervision. Perhaps you are looking for private instruction outside of our usual offering of classes.

Your workshop can be custom designed to enjoy one of the following:

– learn throwing on the wheel with a single “Try It” exploration

-construct platters and vases using clay slab construction

-have fun making clay masks, bowls, or holiday decorations

Included in the price, your instructor will dry, trim, glaze, and fire your pieces in the kiln twice (bisque and glaze fire). You will be able to pick up the finished pieces in approximately two weeks. The cost will double for parties of 6-10 as we need to provide additional support for the instructor.

Age Restrictions: 5-12 (with Parent Supervision), 13+ (supervision not required)
