Chestertown RiverArts, a large and growing nonprofit arts organization with a spacious gallery, a Clay Studio, a children’s creativity center, (KidSPOT), and the newest addition, the ArtsAlive! Education Center.

Summary: Responsible for promoting RiverArts educational programming through marketing and communication. Manages data, creates metrics, and evaluates RiverArts educational programming effectiveness. In coordination with the Executive Director and Education Center Advisory Committee, the Education Manager is responsible for developing and managing a varied curriculum of adult programing. This is a full time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing & Communications
Implement and manage a strategic and dynamic marketing plan for educational programming, working with the Executive Director and Marketing Committee and Program Coordinators. Assist in writing and creating marketing copy and assets for print and digital promotional materials for educational events, classes and programs, including updating the website, email blasts (using Constant Contact), releases, Facebook posts, posters, rack cards, etc.
Work with Coordinators to generate social media, scheduling posts and promoting programming
Collect, organize and analyze data of educational programming at RiverArts educational centers (ArtsAlive! KidSPOT, Clay Studio)
Monitor class/program registration and attendance.
Attend Education Center Advisory Committee Meetings (ArtsAlive! KidSPOT, Clay Studio).
Data analysis and metrics for program evaluation
Data extraction for classes funding, donor, grant purposes
ArtsAlive! Education Center
Work with ArtsAlive! Advisory Committee to develop innovative programming in alignment with RiverArts’ mission, strategic goals and priorities.
Assist in finding instructors, Work with instructors to schedule classes.
Physical logistics – opening and closing building, ordering supplies, coordinate open studio time, setting up for classes, all as needed
Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail imperative; high energy, flexibility, discretion and sound judgment required.
Excellent problem-solving, time management and communication skills.
Team player approach to working with a diverse group of individuals.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing program/event schedules.
Ease with use of Microsoft Office, especially with Excel.
Familiarity with Google Drive
Social media experience: Facebook, Instagram preferred.
Familiarity with email marketing: Constant Contact preferred.
Familiarity with WordPress a plus
Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
