RiverArts’ popular Clay Studio, the only one in our area, provides equipment and workspace for our many potters, as well as classes from beginning pottery and sculpture to advanced workshops.

Pottery classes include hand building, throwing on the wheel, raku, and the exploration of different glazing and firing techniques. We endeavor to inspire the creative forces in all of us, from beautiful vessels, gracefully formed on the potter’s wheel to imaginative hand-built forms, Talavera decorating technique. and more. . Many short workshops enable even the inexperienced to produce a personal piece of art you can show at home or present as a gift.

Clay Studio Private Class- Youth One on One

This course is designed to give one youngster (ages 10-15,)  individual attention from one of our accomplished instructors. The child may choose between the wheel or hand building. The course will be up to 2 hours long and the student will be able to keep ONE piece to be completed (trimmed & glazed) by the instructor and fired in the kiln. Talavera Style Painting: House Number Tiles

Beginner Pottery Wheel

First Friday Ice Cream Bowls

A Clay Studio Fundraiser! Have a scoop of ice cream from a pretty little dessert bowl of your choice at the Clay Studio, and then take the bowl home with you! Hand Building with Marilee Schumann

Decorate A Holiday Pie Plate
