Clay Studio Private Class- Youth One on One

December 12, 2018 @ 8:00 am - December 31, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

This course is designed to give one youngster (ages 10-15,)  individual attention from one of our accomplished instructors. The child may choose between the wheel or hand building. The course will be up to 2 hours long and the student will be able to keep ONE piece to be completed (trimmed & glazed) by the instructor and fired in the kiln. Please note, this is not a group class. Each additional child will be another $125. Age Restrictions:  10-15  

Decorate and Glaze

March 12 - April 2

This course is intended to show different techniques in decorating and glazing your pottery. Each week you are expected to have at least one piece ready to decorate and/or glaze. More than one is recommended. A syllabus containing piece requirements can be obtained in advance (see below) or you may get it the first night of class. Beginner Pottery Wheel – Day Class, Spring 2019

More advanced techniques on the potter’s wheel, including closed forms, lids and altered forms, taught by Marilee Schumann. In addition to improving your skills on the wheel, we will work on decorating and glazing techniques. An emphasis will be made on individual expression. Included in cost of class is your first 25 pounds of clay and 8 Open Studio tickets , a $102 value. Ages 16 & older.
